Living for Today

Living for Today is the main fundraiser for  Gilana's Fund.   The annual concert series was created in 2008 just a year after the loss of Gilana at the age of 26, by her brother David, a director in NYC.  After three years at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, the concert moved downtown to the historic Joe’s Pub, and to date has help raise the Fund to over $100,000.  The concert also serves as the platform to announce the annual recipients of Gilana’s Fund. Past Broadway stars to join at the concert include Idina Menzel, Vanessa Williams, Jim Dale, Candice Bergen,  Kate Mulgrew, Bebe Neuwirth, Alice Ripley, Tituss Burgess, LaChanze, Tony Yazbeck, Lena Hall, Aaron Lazar, Kerry Butler, Jim Walton, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Stephen Spinella, and many more incredible performers.
